I know people love the feel of it, and for some original systems you actually need a CRT for it to look and play correctly, but I've moved on. I'm not a fan of all these subscription models and removing the ability to purchase classic games you may want to play is the pits. I've long been a collector of physical game carts, but I also don't have a problem with pirating game roms for various retro emulation systems. I usually will *only* do this is the games are completely unobtainable through legitimate sources and/or ridiculously overpriced on the secondary market (for original carts, etc). Still, like you said, for those willing, the games are out there and playable on a variety of devices.
