I guess some people won't like that, but I enjoyed it. And not only because of how people are killed, but those lingering shots as they die. That was effective. <br /> <br /> I think viewers are split on the "mob mentality" themes that run throughout the movie, but I thought it was done well and gave as a mirror to society without being too in your face about it. I want to say they were also throwing back to Frankenstein with those scenes. </span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Another thing people seemed to dislike were the small bits of humor (like Little John and Big John), but again, these were elements I enjoyed, as I've always been a fan of breaking suspense with humor in horror. </span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">One thing I do agree with is that the pacing is pretty janky in this film. If viewed alone, yeah, it's a problem. But I think once the third movie comes out and we see how everything fits together, it won't be an issue. Kind of like how everyone was complaining that Dylan Arnold's character Cameron just sort of disappeared from the plot in the first movie with no resolution? And then we see the rest of his arch in this movie. Pretty sure that's how they're playing it. The pacing in this movie is weird because it's essentially the second act in a three-act play. </span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Anyway, just a few thoughts. </span></span></p> | onipar | Oct 24, 2021 | |

| 48362 | Mr. Magoo meets Dick Tracy | <p>So here is my example of Dick Tracy done badly.</p> <p>UPA's, "The Dick Tracy Show", from 1961, was full of bad ideas. For starters, how do you not draw Dick Tracy properly? They got Tracy's face all wrong, then they never let him move from his desk. Each episode featured Tracy passing an assignment to one of his four subordinate officers, pictured below.</p> <p>And yeah, the rank and file policemen were idiots, none of my friends around the neighborhood liked this setup. It all made Dick Tracy look lazy, and the storys were juvenile. | 48361 | The iPod is 20 this year | <p>My first Ipod was a 2nd Generation Nano I got for my 12th birthday back in 2006. I pretty much used it right up to the start of college in 2013. I would probably still be using it if my idiot friend didn't tackle me into a table during our senior year of high school.</p> <p>I got a Touch for my 19th birthday. I didn't mind it but I wasn't such a huge fan of the touch feature. I used it for the remainder of college. After college graduation I bought a disconinued Classic off of eBay.
