Some parts were great... like bringing in Peter Cullen for voicing Prime, and Leonard Nimoy for Sentinel Prime, but some parts... namely Megan Fox, Rose Huntington, and Shia Lebouf, and killing off favorites, and those two little goofball Transformers, and... well, you get the picture. They wanted to portray the events as serious competition, despite the somewhat silly or childlike nature of the "games". I think they did an admirable job of making the case for the events as "sport".
