45603The Café
to be honest i only ever liked the first movie for one reason, that they got rid of scrappy
BenjanimeMay 28, 2020View
45602The Café
Does this mean you choose the live-action movies over the Scoob movie?

Benjanime wrote :
well i watched the new scoob movie, and i have to agree with the critics here, it feels less like a scooby doo movie and more like a hanna-barbera crossover. no mystery, like scooby doo usually focuses on, countless hanna-barbera cartoon references, and i'm pretty sure matthew lillard is pissed that he got ignored to return as shaggy. oh and apparently people on twitter were swooning over that officer chick, only to find out it was dick dastardly in disguise, that's about the only entertainment i got out of this was laughing at those falling for the trap.

-end quote

Mr MagicMay 28, 2020View
45601Teen Titans GO vs. Teen Titans (2019)
In what can only be defined as the ultimate intentional irony, Teen Titans GO featured an episode about ThunderCats Roar. LOL!

while I have no interest in ThunderCats Roar and think it looks like pure garbage, I'm not starting any petitions over it. But that is just what Robin and company do over the TC reboot series.

There are quick cameos of the original Lion-O (with our friend, Larry Kenney), and the 2011 reboot Lion-O.
Vaporman87May 28, 2020View
45600The Café
Sorry to hear about the situation, Rick. That's a very tough spot to be in. My wife has that kind of relationship with her father as well. They haven't spoken in years.
Vaporman87May 28, 2020View
45599The Café
Well, my dad's dad might possibly be on his deathbed. A relative contacted my dad and informed him of the situation. The two had a terrible relationship. My grandfather threated my dad like sh*t all his life.

My father is now debating about possibly going to see him one last time. He doesn't know which choice to make. I hope my dad can get through this, make whatever decision he wants and is comfortably with it.
Rick Ace RhodesMay 27, 2020View

45597Pac-Man is 40 years old today
So crazy to think the game is that old. That's almost half a century.
Vaporman87May 26, 2020View
45596The Café
a few months ago, one of my oldest dogs passed away, and he had to be the most gentle of the dogs that i owned, he loved everybody. since i've seen other animal crossing players do this same thing for their pets that have passed away i figured i would do the same for my game as well.

BenjanimeMay 26, 2020View
45595We lost Fred Willard

Can't talk about Fred Willard without the Second City (SCTV) cast, but I still have to go one jump earlier in time!

Fred Willard represented the first wave of talent from Second City, which includes the original "Not Ready for Primetime Players" on NBC's Saturday Night Live in 1975.

It is no exaggeration when I say that The Second City Theater of Chicago (plus Toronto and Los Angeles) set the pace for comedy in the last half of the 20th century with actors that range all aspects of entertainment.

Fred Willard caught my attention when he teamed up with Martin Mull in the mid-70's multi series, "Mary Hartman/Fernwood-America 2 Night", TV series that spanned daytime and late night television programming hours.

"Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" was the weekday soap opera spoof that became an instant hit following the odd happening in the strange world of Ferwood, Ohio. This weird little town was in the middle of a crime wave, an unidentified man was exposing himself in public for more than six months.

The Fernwood Police finally made an arrest!

To the gratitude of college students across the country, where Mary Hartman left off on weekdays another show took up the job of informing the citizens of Middle America. Martin Mull and Fred Willard hosted the locally produced, late-night talk show, "Fernwood 2 Night", and my friends and I thought we had landed in the Twilight Zone of Ohio!

There are different kinds of comedians and Fred Willard was the type I loved most. His comedy was conversational and circumstantial. Comedy misunderstandings seem easy but Fred had the right kind of chops to make ordinary dialog flat out funny!

eddstarrMay 26, 2020View
