Eventually it was just simpler to charge for gas placed in the tank.</div><div><br></div><div>Nowadays their are almost no propane companies who use meters. Some offer them as an option, but the customer is required to pay a fee for meter maintenance. </div><div><br></div><div>Sometimes landlords want meters so that they can keep track of how much to charge a tenant. 42541	Last Thing you Bought?	A pair of denim Wrangler shorts. Why are denim shorts so hard to find? Sam's Club didn't have 'em. Kohl's didn't have them. I had to settle for Wal-Mart. I've known a few guys who do meter readings - gas, water, and electric. It's a nice gig.
