I think it was this one.</div><div><br></div><div>An exciting 50s adventure flick with an amazing use of stop-motion animation.</div><div><br></div><div>5 stars!</div><div><br></div><div>I'm officially freaked out.</div><div><br></div><div><img id="main-image" src="https://i.postimg.cc/P5YNRNfj/97628e016072326bce920a7f4f43ee15.jpg" style="display:block;width:100%;max-width:640px;" width="640" height="384"></div><div><br></div> | Mr Magic | Jan 04, 2019 | ![]() |
Posting Youtube Videos. | <div>The method Mr Magic describes creates a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vihnr5dM3PM">clickable link</a>, not an embedded video. <br></div><div><br></div><div>Here is how to post a video here so someone can click it directly.<br></div><div><br></div><div>For MIKEPR I am inclding screenshots. <br></div><div>For bluegrassbaby86 I will do my best to include instructions in an accessible manner. I do not have in-depth experience using screen readers, so please let me know if anything is not clear, or if youtube pages do not work for you in the way I describe and I will try to accommodate.</div><div><br></div><div>First, Find the video you want on youtube. Then, in the "share" options, <br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><img src="/images/postImages/1546593565youtbcaptu13.PNG" width="500" height="400"></div><div>(image showing highlight of share option from desktop browser on youtube)</div><br><div><br></div><div>choose < Embed > . <br></div><div><br></div><div><img src="/images/postImages/1546593742youtbcaptu14.PNG" width="200" height="120"><br></div><div>(image showing share options) <br></div><br><div><br></div><div>This will provide you with the raw HTML code that can be used to display a video from youtube, within another website. The code starts with "< iframe width= " . <br></div><div><br></div><img src="/images/postImages/1546594035youtbcaptu15.PNG" width="400" height="300"><div><br></div><div>(image showing video with embed code highlighted)<br></div><div><br></div><div>Copy the full HTML code, including any quotation marks. Whether you are replying to an existing thread or creating a new thread, you will need to toggle source mode so you can use the HTML coding. In either of those scenarios, you should click the button labeled "Show Source". That is what the tooltip says on mouseover, so I think your screen reader can find it. </div><div><br></div><div>Once you have entered source mode, paste the HTML code that you copied from Youtube. <br></div><div><br></div><div>After that, you can toggle back to "Show Rich Text" mode via the same button. <br></div><div><br></div><div>Rich text mode works similar to a typical word processor program. Source mode will not recognize carriage returns or bold / italic / size / type formatting unless you write the HTML into it. You can switch back and forth so that the different methods are available to craft your writing however is most convenient.<br></div><div><br></div><div>Below, I have included an embedded video. If you quote this post and toggle Source Mode, you can see the HTML that I used.<br></div><div><br></div><div><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Vihnr5dM3PM" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen="" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0"></iframe> <br></div><div><br></div><div>MIKEPR, bluegrassbaby86, or anyone else: Let me know if you have any questions or trouble doing what you want. <br></div> | shakin steak | Jan 04, 2019 | ![]()
Those of you who skipped school or faked "sick" | <p>@Dalek: Sounds like a doozy of a situation. On the one hand, you feel guilty for potentially forcing him to face situations that create anxiety, but on the other, you don’t want him abusing school policy and lying to do so. I hope a reasonable solution presents itself for you</p> | Vaporman87 | Jan 04, 2019 | ![]()
Posting Youtube Videos. | <hr><p>@blue: You’re on the right track, but your plugging in the wrong url info in the embed video area. At YouTube, change the shareable link info over to the embed version. Copy that and paste it into the embed video box. The video will show up in the thread, ready to click and watch from within the thread itself</p> | Vaporman87 | Jan 04, 2019 | ![]()

Old TV Shows & Movies Being Remade. | <p>It’s mostly a way to cash in on nostalgia, but I do think that the craze has provided some creative folks the chance to pay homage to things they love from their youth. The remakes and reboots are a mixed bag, but any time a long-awaited sequel comes along, I’m initially excited and hopeful that it will do well critically and financially. </p> | Vaporman87 | Jan 04, 2019 | ![]()

One of Michael Keaton's least memorable films. | <blockquote rel="jkatz"><b>jkatz wrote :</b><br><i> <blockquote rel="Dalek227"><b>Dalek227 wrote :</b><br><i><br> I'll have to check that out, I don't think that I've seen it. One of my favorite of his lesser known roles was a very small part he played in Much Ado About Nothing, the 1993 version with Denzel Washington. He was only on screen maybe twice but I rewound his first scene over and over. </i><b>-end quote</b></blockquote>My mom loves that movie, so I watched it quite a few times. Then in high school when our class was going over Shakespeare, guess what movie the teacher put on? </i><b>-end quote</b></blockquote>Nice!!!<div>I used to be obsessed with it and watch it constantly. It was weird when House premiered because I remember thinking whoa..That's Claudio! And thinking damn..he's a MAN now. He looked so much like a young boy in Much Ado About Nothing. Just a little older than he was in Dead Poet's Society. Haha I just noticed Michael Keaton made the cover despite only being in it briefly. I also forgot how horrible of an actor Keanu Reeves was in this. I don't find him a terrible actor overall so this was odd. Shakespeare is a different breed though I guess.</div><div><br></div><div>I saw the movie Peter's Friends shortly after watching this movie. It came out a year earlier. I don't know if these British actors have some sort of name they call their group, but it reminds me of the brat pack in the sense that a lot of these people are in each other's movies. I guess similar to Adam Sandler and his friends. Kenneth Branagh, Emma Thompson, Hugh Laurie, Imelda Staunton, etc. Actually quite a few of them were in Harry Potter randomly as well.</div><h1 class="header" style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-size: 27px; line-height: 29.7px; margin: 0px; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight: normal; border-bottom: medium none; padding: 0px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"><br></h1><div><br></div><div>I'm not sure how this banner is at the bottom of my post haha</div> | Dalek227 | Jan 04, 2019 | ![]()
Posting Youtube Videos. | I'm also having trouble figuring out how to do this. The way you described how to do it was unclear because I'm completely blind and unable to see the button you speak of. I clicked the embed video button and then pasted the link in the edit field that popped up and hit submit. When I read the post I have made it just shows the URL, not like a link, just a bunch of html. Should I only paste part of the URL? | bluegrassbaby86 | Jan 04, 2019 | ![]()
