On the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers episode "A Bad Reflection On You", Bulk and Skull were watching the Japanese animated series “The Genie Family”, which Saban gave an English dub to, on Bulk's little TV in detention. And then in the MMPR episode “The Power Stealer” Bulk and Skull tried to play a tape of the Rangers' "identity" but accidentally plays a tape of a Saban cartoon entitled “Around The World In Eighty Dreams”

Any opportunity to post about Saban's Around the World in Eighty Dreams, I'm gonna take it.

This is the French animated series that aired worldwide and, thanks to Saban International, was translated into numerous languages. Each episode starts with Carlos, the man who can transform into a bull when trouble happens, bragging about all the famous characters throughout history that he calls friends.

The children don't believe any of his stories, so the magic of Grandma Tadpole sends them all on an adventure to meets historical friends of Carlos. This is the kind of old fashioned storytelling that made Around the World in Eighty Dreams so popular.
