| 44638 | McDonald's |
I know I recently complained about McDonald Land ripping off their concept from an old show nobody but me even gives a crap about anymore, but like I said, for what it was, we at least got an awesome outdoor playground out of it once upon a time. Before whiny Soccer Moms and overly sensitive parents who freak out at even the slightest drop of a hat had all the cool stuff banned to make way for something worse (the plastic that replaced it is not as safe as everyone says it is. Not to mention that crap accumulates bacteria), this is what a McDonald's Playground typically looked like way back when. I was part of the last generation that ever got to experience this

| RetroSnob88 | Dec 18, 2019 | ![]() |
| 44637 | Favorite retro slogans |

@Vaporman - Lol nah, it's from the 2nd Simpsons Christmas Special where Bart shoplifts. At the beginning of the episode, he and Lisa watch the special It's a Krusty Kind of Christmas hosted by Krusty the Clown. The sponsors for the special are ILG (an obvious parody of the Independent Grocers of America or IGA for short) with the slogan "Selling your body's chemicals after you die" and the other sponsor is Little Sweetheart Cupcakes (A division of ILG)
| RetroSnob88 | Dec 18, 2019 | ![]() |

| 44632 | Favorite retro slogans |
Atari Corporation: Business Is War!

~Literally the slogan founder and former CEO of Commodore Computers Jack Tramiel used for Atari's Consumer Electronics Division when he bought that half of the original Atari company out in 1984. (Business is War was also his philosphy as a result of a rough teenhood growing up in the prison camps during WWII)
| RetroSnob88 | Dec 18, 2019 | ![]() |
| 44631 | Your Home Town |
My hometown is currently infested with tweakers, mostly places for adults and kids on probation at age 10. As for anything positive about it, it is where the 1975 cinematic classic One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest was filmed. Frank Herbert (the guy who wrote Dune (THE ORIGINAL BOOK! And yes it started out as a book) is from here. Maybe not originally, but he became a pretty well onown Salem resident. There's even a shrine to him at what is now known as North Salem High
| RetroSnob88 | Dec 18, 2019 | ![]() |
| 44630 | Your Home Town |
Nothing like a good flood to hammer home the fact that winter is here. Happens so often we should start a tourism department and promote the place as "America's Venice".

| Vaporman87 | Dec 18, 2019 | ![]() |
